My tasks on the project :

I programmed most of the features available in the prototype (since my colleague took care of the Camera movements and Field of View base, scripts that I modified later to better fit our needs). I created the AI with advanced behavior (corpse detection, general alert, weapon firing sound detection, shooting the player in sight …), the core gameplay… Basically everything in the game 🙂 . I also took care of the shaders, camera effects (the active pause effect with a slow motion as you can see in the video at the end of this page).

Brief overview of the prototype :

Underrain is a prototype of a game concept a friend made for school. We wanted to do a prototype on our own and we develop it on our spare time as we want to test mechanics, feedback and other game design key point. This prototype has been displayed during a concept presentation in our school and the concept has been selected to be developed during our last scholar year.
